ABOUT EMBARK

Good Energy

Gravel racing with Embark Maple Energy. Sports nutrition from the forest to the best outdoor spaces, unlike any energy gel you've had.

The energy we put out into the world can elevate those around us or diminish and disparage them.  Let’s come together, share some Good Energy, and discover what we are capable of.

From the Woods of Wisconsin

Our farm, where we harvest the Maple Syrup for all our products, is at the heart of all we do. We reside on traditional Ho Chunk land, and do our best to honor the natural and human communities that we are a part of.

Celebrating Connection

We are here to celebrate you- your triumphs, sorrows, and challenges overcome and learned from. We are at our best when we connect with each other and the unique places we are a part of.

Empowering Community

From the Embark Oasis at the Arrowhead 135 to volunteering at local rides and races, Embark is here for our community. We believe in you, and encourage you to take on new challenges, try new things and connect with folks who share your passions.

Goofballs of Embark

    FOUNDER & CHIEF MASCOT

Woooooo! You’re Awesome!!!! You’ve Got This!!!

Eric didn’t know when pursuing an engineering degree that he would find his stride as a mascot, cheerleader and visionary for a small maple farm and business. When Bree and Eric met they grew the best garden, drafted plans for a tree house, and within a year were making an offer on a 40 acre parcel of maple forest. Eric’s boundless energy, passion and cartwheels (look out!) keep the Good Energy flowing through all the challenges of growing something good from the ground up.

  • Bree is working in the Embark Maple Woods, making the organic maple syrup that will become Bourbon Maple Syrup and Maple Energy.

    BREE

    CO-FOUNDER & FOX HERDER

Bree grew up in the Driftless and has spent nearly all her life in the Coon Creek Watershed. She is most at home in the forest, and is passionate about connecting people to place through good food. She fancies herself a human Swiss Army knife at Embark, handling everything from paperwork to graphic design to production, sales and newsletters. She will do just about anything to avoid social media duty. She is a book nerd, loving a good mystery story or thought-provoking work of non-fiction, and can be found happily working in her garden all summer long.

    FULFILLMENT

Ever noticed the hand written note in your carefully packed box of Embark Goodness? Chances are Savannah penned that, along with making sure your order gets to you safely and quickly. Her attention to detail keeps the Good Energy flowing when Bree and Eric are on the road, tapping trees and making this crazy experiment work. Thanks Savannah!

  • Eric the Fox and Sylvan have huge smiles of Good Energy as they ride bikes at the Kickapoo Valley Reserve.

    INSPIRATION

This little human is what it’s all about. He is right there with us every step of the adventure, tapping trees, napping in the Sugar House, and passing out cups of “race juice” (Elderberry Maple Lemonade) at aid stations while cheering you to the finish. The choices we make as a farm and business will impact not only him, but his children and great grandchildren. We keep them in mind when deciding how we do things around here.
