Maple Bacon Brussels Sprouts
Ingredients:
4 Strips Bacon
1 lb Brussels Sprouts, halved
1/4 C Balsamic Vinegar
1/2 tsp Salt & Pepper
2 TBSP Embark Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 400F.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Fry & dice the bacon. Keep the grease.
In a large bowl whisk together bacon grease, balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, salt, and pepper.
Add the halved sprouts and toss till covered completely.
Place the sprouts on the baking sheet in a single layer. Reserve remaining dressing.
Roast the Brussels sprouts 20-25 minutes.
Mix the dressing with the diced bacon.
When finished roasting, toss the Brussels sprouts with the bacon dressing.
Serves 3-4.
Notes:
Brussels Sprouts are best after the first frost- it brings out their natural sweetness.
