Elderberry Maple Lemonade

Summer is now officially, officially here, and we’ve got the goods to keep you hydrated all. stinkin. summer. long.

We’re just gonna call it. Elderberry Maple Lemonade is the drink of summer, or maybe forever. Part of what makes this such a fantastic recipe is how versatile it is.  Here we’ve got three recipes with the same three simple ingredients.

  1. Aid Station Refresher

This is light and refreshing, with a boost of energy and nutrition

For a Water Bottle:

1 TBSP Elderberry Maple Energy

1 ½ tsp Lemon Juice

16 oz water

For a crowd:

1 Cup Elderberry Maple Energy

½ Cup Lemon Juice

2 Gallons Water

2. Eric’s Isotonic “Race Juice”

This combo provides an isotonic solution- quick energy that your body can put right to use

3 TBSP Elderberry Maple Energy (half a 3oz pouch)

1 tsp Lemon Juice (a squirt or two)

22-24 oz water

3. Brandie’s Summer Fizz

It’s tangy and sweet and lip smacking, pucker-y good! You can choose how much lemon and elderberry maple you would like, all to your taste! This took less than five minutes and made 32 oz. of deliciousness. You can make as much or as little as you like. I made enough to fill a 32 oz Kerr jar, drank half and stuck the rest in the fridge for later. Here’s how I made mine:

Half cup of lemon juice

3 oz. of Embark Maple Elderberry

1 can of Natural bubbly water

Pour over ice and stir.

Super easy. This particular recipe gives you a really big mouth full of flavor. Ease up on the lemon if you don’t want so much tang, and do a little less Elderberry Maple if you want less sweet. I juiced about six lemons and put the rest of the juice in the fridge for later. Use any kind of carbonated water you like, or just throw some plain ol’ water in there. Cheers!
