Ramp Romp Admission April 26, 2025

About the Ride:

The Ramp Romp Ride is a playful exploration of our watershed and the unique, delicious and interesting ecosystem we are a part of.  The route is mostly paved country roads, with off-road and single track optional segments, and stops for foraging and exploration.  This year we are splitting the ride into a smaller morning ride (8-9 miles) with foraging stops along the way. We will return to the farm for lunch, and the afternoon is a Choose Your Own Adventure, either Embarking on a longer afternoon Adventure Ride (30-40 miles) or a foraging & ephemeral hike around the farm. It will be a full day out playing bikes, foraging, experiencing and celebrating the unique place we call home.  

 Tentative Schedule:

Friday: Farm opens at 4pm for camp setup and exploration.

Saturday: 8am-9am Breakfast & Welcome

9-10am Intro to foraging, sustainable ramp harvest

10 am- Begin Foraging Ride (#1)

12:30 (ish)- Return to the farm for lunch

2 pm - Begin Adventure Ride (#2) or Forest Hike

5 or 6pm Return to farm & more foraging

5pm Assemble pizzas, foraged feast!

Bonfire & good times to follow!

Sunday: Breakfast (provided)

Camping Details:

Rustic camping at B&E's Trees Farm is included in admission (Friday & Saturday nights).  Facilities are simple- We will have a portapotty and jugs of clean water, but the rest is on your own.  The camping field is about a quarter mile from parking, and we will be returning to the farm for camping both nights.  No need to haul camp gear on your bike, unless you want to!   If you would prefer not to camp, there are a few cabins available to rent in the area, as well as lodging in in Westby (~15 min from farm) and Viroqua (~20 minutes from farm).

Meals: 

Friday meals are on your own.

Saturday 

Three meals featuring local & foraged foods provided

Sunday we will provide breakfast, other meals are on your own
